Hashira Training, Yokai, and more

Go to the Ubuyashiki Estate and visit the Hashira Training grounds to spar with masters, the heroes of Demon Slayer themselves, each possessing unique strengths, fighting styles, and special abilities. Each level takes you a step closer to the pinnacle of power, testing your skills, endurance, and determination. Here is how it works.

The Hashira Training
On your journey to becoming the ultimate demon slayer, you will face a new master as you advance each level. The challenge begins with the kind-hearted but formidable Tanjiro Kamado at level 1. Once you have proven your worth against Tanjiro, level 2 beckons, introducing Zenitsu Agatsuma and his electrifying fighting style. The challenges increase as the ferocious Inosuke Hashibira awaits you at level 3, followed by the powerful Genya Shinazugawa at level 4. The elegance and deadly precision of Kanao Tsuyuri are your test at level 5, followed by the spectral abilities of Muichiro Tokito at level 6. Then, you face the stoic water Hashira Giyu Tomioka at level 7, followed by the deadly poison of Shinobu Kocho at level 8. As you progress, the challenges get tougher, but so do your skills and experience. Tengen Uzui's flamboyant, powerful combat style waits at level 9. The strength and flexibility of Mitsuri Kanroji will test your mettle at level 10. At level 11, you must battle against Sanemi Shinazugawa's fierce wind techniques. The silent and deadly Obanai Iguro is your opponent at level 12, and finally, the stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima presents the ultimate test at level 13. And as you reach the zenith of this challenge, level 14, you face the passionate flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku.

Each Hashira offers a unique set of combat techniques, and their skills intensify as you level up. Beating each one is a badge of honor, and also a step closer to becoming an elite Demon Slayer.

Furthermore, we're thrilled to announce that our most recent updates should now provide a more immersive Demon Slayer experience. You'll notice the atmosphere of Demon Slayer and Taisho era Japan reverberating through every corner of the game. The weapons, armor, pets, mounts, and drinks available for purchase are all designed to reflect the vibrant and rich culture of this period.

Beyond this, our gaming world is now teeming with demons and Yokai from Japanese folklore. The forest, once home to parody creatures, now serves as a hunting ground for these unique opponents.

As we continue to expand and enhance the game, you can expect more thrilling features, challenges, and experiences. We hope these updates will captivate you, providing a deeper and more satisfying gaming experience. Expanding the Breath of Battle - New Specialties in Demon Slayer Legends!

I'm excited to announce we've added 8 new specialties/breathing techniques to Demon Slayer Legends (DSL), each with its unique abilities and quirks:

1. Demon Blood Art: A dark yet powerful art, accessible only to those who dare tread the path of shadows. Be warned, it's not for the faint-hearted!

2. Flame Breathing: Fire up your game with this style, embodying the spirit of the fire god itself. Show your enemies the wrath of fiery inferno!

3. Moon Breathing: Bring the serene but deadly power of the moon to your arsenal. Strike with the precision and tranquility that only the moonlight can offer!

4. Stone Breathing: Embody the unyielding strength and resilience of a mountain. Let your foes tremble before your indomitable will!

5. Sun Breathing (Specialty for Donators): Exclusively for our generous donators with more than 5,000 donator points! Harness the ancient and formidable power of the sun itself. (We'd like to remind you that your old donator points on HL carry over to DSL.)

6. Thunder Breathing: Unleash the electrifying power of the thunder god. Stun your enemies with overwhelming speed and precision!

7. Water Breathing: Navigate through your battles with the flowing grace and adaptable nature of water. Let your attacks cascade upon your enemies!

8. Wind Breathing: Ride the whirlwinds to victory! Harness the freedom and force of the winds to blow your foes away!

These new breathing techniques will be selectable by players upon reaching a new day.

The Birth of Demon Slayer Legends: A Journey from Hogwarts Live to Taisho Era Japan

Some of you may have noticed that Demon Slayer Legends (DSL) is a port of the Hogwarts Live RPG (HL), which I founded back in 2004. HL is itself a port of Legend of the Green Dragon (LotGD) by Eric Stevens & JT Traub, which in turn was based on the BBS Door game, Legend of the Red Dragon (LoRD) by Seth Able Robinson.

My love for anime and manga started in 2005 when I was introduced to the anime Naruto and then read the Naruto manga while waiting for Naruto: Shippuden to come out. For those of you who are curious, my favorite manga is Fullmetal Alchemist. So why Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba if I love Naruto and FMA so much? Finley (aka !WaterHashira GiyuuTomioka) suggested I make a new game based on either My Hero Academia or Demon Slayer and volunteered to run it. Having never seen Demon Slayer, I watched it, and it reminded me a lot of a space opera I'm working on called Ariadoss and the Advent of Darkness (Book 1 in the Ariadoss Chronicles). Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime and manga ever and is still growing in popularity, so I thought it would be fun to make a game based in its Taisho era setting as an homage to a great anime and manga.

We want our players to immerse themselves into the Demon Slayer universe fully. So, we are asking for YOUR help as we continue to fine-tune the game's storyline and mechanics. We eagerly invite our dedicated gamers to report any bugs you encounter. We would greatly appreciate your suggestions and ideas about how we can better incorporate elements of Taisho era Japan and the Demon Slayer universe into the game. We acknowledge that the transformation from Hogwarts Live RPG to Demon Slayer Legends is quite a leap, and there may be some hiccups along the way.
